June: Feels Like Summer!

It’s been a busy 6 months, as wedding season—something typically thought of as a Spring and Summer timeframe-- started in the unlikely month of January! The sudden burst of events and weddings left me swamped and I found myself with no time to check-in to my Blog and update it!

It’s been an exciting couple of months. Besides visiting London a few times where my husband was based for work for the past six months, the Bruce Museum Gala was an incredible experience.  I had the privilege of working with two amazing co-chairs and the team at the Museum to put together a “Jewels of the Jungle” themed evening, inspired by their upcoming National Geographic exhibit.

Next, I’d love to introduce our new retail sales assistant, Julia! She just recently graduated from Binghamton University in New York with a Bachelors of Arts in History. She’s always had a huge passion for fashion, and is excited to finally be able to put that enthusiasm to use.  Julia believes that fashion is an extension of your personality and getting dressed is one of her favorite things to do. Come by the Boutique to say hi and meet her!

One of my best friends, Andrea Del Bello (owner and designer of Andrea Del Bello Jewelry, sold at the boutique!), just got married in Newport, Rhode Island. I was fortunate enough to be asked not only to be a bridesmaid for the special day, but also to help customize the dress and design the veil for her special day. She looked like an absolute vision and I was so excited to be able to be a part of her day in more ways than one.

The beginning of summer is one of the most exciting times of year—it feels as though the next few months are full of endless possibilities. I hope you all are able to enjoy the lovely weather and go somewhere beautiful. Feel free to stop by the boutique and take a look at our custom designs and accessory vendor’s gorgeous pieces. Perhaps we can find something for that special occasion coming up in the fall or winter.

Xx Katie
