As summer starts to wind down and Labor Day is approaching faster than anticipated, I wanted to updated you all on what has been going on! What a summer it has been. Last time I checked in, I had just returned from one of my best friend’s weddings, and now here I am again, having just returned from another one of my best friend’s weddings in Mallorca, Spain where I was lucky enough to be the Maid of Honor. Sophia and I have been friends since we were 14 years old, and in college, I introduced her to her now husband, Taylor! I was thrilled when Sophia asked me to create her dream gown for her. After exploring several silhouettes and fabrics, Sophia decided on a illusion neck, open back, mermaid gown with hand embroidered flowers all over. Her cathedral length veil consisted of the same flowers as her gown. The heat and humidity in Mallorca in August required something lightweight and flowy, so we lined the gown in silk charmeuse and silk organza. All the bridesmaids were able to choose any floral dress we wanted in grey/pink/green/white tones, which was fun to work with! I found this incredible printed silk georgette and put it in the Carrie Gown... so comfortable and lightweight! It was an incredibly beautiful evening and I wish I could repeat the trip all over again! Below are some photos from the trip!

As most of you know, Nantucket is Owen and my happy place. This summer we were lucky enough to get over to the island twice! It's a place of true relaxation for me - always fun and relaxing at the same time, and always inspiring. Nothing quite gets me like the beach does! Whenever I get back from a trip to Nantucket, I always feel refreshed and ready to tackle the wedding season!

My favorite Julie Top paired with a long pearl necklace by Andrea Del Bello Jewelry, available at the Boutique. Both such good staples that are great for traveling.

Further, I had the great pleasure of being able to design a look for Bravo TV’s Southern Charm star, Ashley Jacobs! She wanted an outfit for the reunion show, so I designed a top and pant duo that together looked absolutely stunning on her. Check out our Instagram @katiefongcollection for more details!

To end our summer full of excitement, Owen and I attended the inaugural Sips on the Sound event at Tod's Point. This new event is part of the Bruce Contemporaries at the Bruce Museum! Since it was 98 degrees, I went with the Sienna Dress. I accessorized with a pair of espadrilles I had bought in Madrid earlier this year and my favorite pink and green Omluxe Collection bag (available for pre-order at the Boutique!)
