April: Giving Back

I started volunteering with Greenwich Hospital four years ago, a place near and dear to my heart. The care and love that is poured into the services offered at this incredible institution are beyond amazing and I am thrilled to be a co-chair of their annual Under the Stars Benefit supporting women and children’s health. For the first time, this will be the only benefit the Hospital’s Foundation will be having, so we plan to make it extra special. :)

Many people have asked me why I’ve decided to give back to Under the Stars even before I got pregnant – and the answer is quite simple: I’ve always believed that there is something so unbelievably special about new life and the happiness it brings.  I knew that one day I would love to have my own little family, and the idea of giving back to an organization that supports that brings me joy. In addition to children’s health, Under the Stars also gives back to women’s health in every shape and form; from care to support groups and information classes, the Hospital is there for women every step of the way.

There are not many hospitals as well equipped as Greenwich Hospital to handle various situations. Every story I have heard from those who have given birth at the Hospital is above and beyond...my parents still rave about their experience when they had me! Now that my husband and I are expecting and there are so many unknowns that keep me up at night, it truly comforts me to know that I can count on Greenwich Hospital to make my experience the very best it could be.

We are so blessed to have such an incredible institution in our community and it’s really important that we remember to support it.

This year, Andrea Sinkin, Jen Turano and I have had the awesome opportunity of working with the Hospital’s Foundation to put together this incredible evening. For those 90’s boy band crazed ladies…. You heard right, 98 Degrees is coming to Riverside Yacht Club!! I mean…who doesn’t love a little Nick Lachey? We have an incredible live and silent auction with so many fun goodies and experiences (treat yourself!). Your ticket will include a sit down dinner with an amazing view of the water, an open bar, and an experience you definitely won’t forget!

I would love for you, your family, and your friends to join us for an evening in supporting the Greenwich Hospital. Come and learn more about what the Hospital offers…bid and dance the night away, all for an amazing cause.
